Targa Newfoundland is the first and only event of its kind to be held in North America. At just 10 years young, every aspect of their high end automotive adventure just keeps getting better. As motorsport enthusiasts, they know that limits were made to be pushed and cars were designed to be driven.  
  Targa Newfoundland offers a 2200 km course with scenery & competition they know you won't find anywhere else - enjoy the paved open roads of eastern and central Newfoundland and the many wonders of natural beauty.
Targa competitive sections are held on roads closed to the general public and comprise of 20% of the total course. A world class support staff and volunteer crew (of 2000+) are ready and waiting to meet your needs as you complete each stage.  
  They promise community support unlike any other. Newfoundlanders will be waiting for you as you tackle each stage and you might find your greatest fans are the hundreds of school children eager for an autograph and a picture.
The event is designed so that every competitor not only has an opportunity to measure their performance against their fellow competitors but in fact, each vehicle competes against itself on a handicap basis.  
  Its an accomplishment like no other and the week long adventure is your real prize. You will return home with memories, friends and war stories that will make you the envy of your friends.

 

The GRAND TOURING competition is designed for both beginners and experienced crews and allows them to compete on a level that does not require a fully prepared competition vehicle. A roll cage is not required. Maximum speed is 135 km/hr. Targa Newfoundland

The TARGA competition is for those that want to compete at the ultimate level and does require a fully prepared vehicle with a competition roll cage. Maximum speed 200 km/hr.

Racing for Autism competes in the fast paced TARGA competition of Targa Newfoundland.
